On June 16, we marked the International Day of the African Child, dedicated to emphasizing the importance of quality education for African children. We believe quality education is most effective when children are in good health, particularly heart health.

To support this, we organized a free heart health education session featuring Dr. Theophil, a pediatric cardiologist from the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI). During the session, Dr. Theophil discussed common heart defects in children and heart issues in adults resulting from hypertension.

Heart health education is crucial. According to the World Health Organization, heart disease is one of the leading causes of death globally, and early education and diagnosis play a significant role in prevention.
