Adim was born on 9th December 2016 in Zanzibar. In the same year, his father was transferred to Dodoma for government services. Adim was left with his grandmother in Zanzibar, who detected the early signs of congenital heart disease, including growth difficulties and body weakness.
In November 2020, Adim was transferred to Dodoma and realized that he was suffering from holes in his heart. He was then referred to JKCI and began attending the heart clinic every month. Subsequently, his father went to Benjamin Mkapa Hospital in Dodoma and was informed about The One New Heart Tanzania children’s surgical camp.
Adim received his lifesaving heart surgery on 14th July 2021 and was discharged from the hospital a few days later after a successful recovery. Since then, We have been in communication with his father, Mr. Said Kombo Hamad, regarding Adim’s progress, and he is always happy to share that Adim is doing very well with his studies.
Recently, Mr. Said shared a photo with us, and we are delighted to share it with you.
It’s always many hearts joined together to save one heart.
